21 December 2015

A $60,000 Matching Gift has been made available through the generosity of a group of community leaders, private donors and members of The Salvation Army's Grand Rapids Advisory Board. For every dollar donated, the Matching Gift will provide an additional dollar -- making every gift go twice as far to help our neighbors in need right here in Kent County.

This matching challenge begins on Tuesday, December 22, and ends on Christmas Eve. Donations from all sources (online, mail, etc.) in Kent County will be matched, up to $60,000.

As you finish your Christmas shopping and get ready to celebrate this week, this is a great time to remember those in our community who need help. The funds raised during this campaign will bless others not only in the holiday season, but throughout the coming year as well.

The public can support The Salvation Army of Kent County's "Give Once; Bless Twice" campaign in a variety of ways:

-- Give at any of the 60 Red Kettle sites throughout Kent County.

-- Give online, by clicking here.

-- Give by phone, by calling 616-459-3433, or 1-800-SAL-ARMY

-- Send financial gifts directly to The Salvation Army at 1215 Fulton Street East, Grand Rapids MI, 49503-3849.
