Kent County
As the headquarters of the Western Michigan Northern Indiana Division of the Salvation Army, Kent County provides programs and services originating from offices in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In addition to the many programs and services available at the twenty-eight Corps located throughout the Division, several are specifically located in Grand Rapids. These include Booth Family Services, Turning Point Services, Little Pine Island Camp and the Adult Rehabilitation Center.
The physician-directed medical team, substance abuse therapists and chaplains of Turning Point Programs in Kent County offer comprehensive care that includes sub-acute medical detoxification, mental health services, inpatient addiction treatment, outpatient services and spiritual recovery for holistic health and wellness.

From healthcare for pregnant and parenting teens, housing assessments for individuals and families, emergency food and utility assistance, Booth Family Services of Grand Rapids helps those at their point of deepest need.
As one of The Salvation Army’s earliest outreach programs, Little Pine Island Camp & Retreat Center continues to build upon eighty years as a bedrock of education, fun and fellowship in Kent County. Regardless of race, age, social or economic background, camp changes kids and adults, too!
